Volvo has released a new teaser image for an upcoming concept vehicle.  Based on the company's new Compact Modular Architecture, the concept will preview a future range of Volvo vehicles, believed to be its upcoming XC40 entry-level crossover. The platform will also be shared with the all new V40. 

Unusually, Volvo used the social network Snapchat to release the teaser. This could reflect the company's desire to attract younger buyers with its smaller, cheaper models. The 40 series models will be the brand's new generation of small compact cars. 

The image also confirm that the concept will closely follow Volvo's current design conventions, with 'Thor's Hammer' LED daytime running lights set in intricate light clusters and uncomplicated front-end styling.
