BMW has planned for another BMW World event here in Singapore. With the theme 'Passion and Joy', the ticketed event will take up two halls (halls 403 and 404) at the Suntec Convention Centre and is set to open this month over two days, on the 25th and 26th August, from 10:00am to 10:00pm.
Aside from a display of BMW and MINI vehicles, it will also serve as a place for the introduction of a number of BMW's latest offerings to the Singapore market, as well as concept and showcase vehicles.
Visitors to BMW World can expect to see the following models:
BMW i8 Roadster
BMW will showcase its new i8 Roadster for the first time in Singapore at BMW World. The car is BMW's first plug-in hybrid roadster.
With the same drivetrain that is powering the i8 Coupe, the new roadster offers the open-top driving pleasure of a sports car with the efficiency of a compact, adding to the allure of sustainable driving pleasure.
BMW X4
The X4 brings together the hallmark features of a BMW X model with the sporting elegance of a coupe. Now in its second generation, the X4 in M40i trim will be powered by a straight-six BMW TwinPower engine, making 355bhp and a thunderous 500Nm, allowing the Sports Activity Coupe to do the century sprint in 4.8 seconds.
BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and Gran Tourer
BMW has updated its popular Sports Activity Tourers. A good choice for families, the 2 Series Tourers are known for their ample interior space and impressive versatility. The new 2 Series Active and Gran Tourers will feature BMW's new dual-clutch transmission, with new Sport line exteriors, sport seats, electronic gear selector, and a new black panel instrument display.
BMW M2 Competition
Set to be showcased in Singapore for the first time, it will up the ante of the original M2. Already a class-act, the M2 Competition gets a substantial bump in power, allowing the car when equipped with DCT to complete the century sprint in 4.2 seconds. Revised braking and suspension systems allows for even sharper handling than the original, and key visual differences will set the Competition apart from the original.

Possibly one to attract the crowds at the show is the new 8 Series that will be showcased. With sports car dynamics fused with luxury and refinement, the new 8 Series is the start of a new chapter in BMW's long and illustrious history of making iconic and sensational sports cars. Powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 and a 0-100km/h time of 3.7 seconds, its performance will complement its stunning looks.
Designer Mini by Paul Smith

BMW Concept X7 iPerformance
At the event, visitors will get to see BMW's latest concept vehicle, the X7 iPerformance. The imposing dimensions and skillfully judged proportions of the car is apparent, with its size being a powerful visual statement. Pre-production models have rolled off the line at BMW's plant in Spartanburg, and the new X model is set to break new ground when it goes into production, as it will be the biggest SUV that BMW has built.
