Skoda is embarking on a new era of its 124-year history with the launch of the brand new Citigoe iV, the Czech manufacturer's first ever all electric production vehicle. The four-seater city car is powered exclusively by a 61kW electric motor, delivering a maximum torque of 210Nm.
The Citigoe iV has a 60Ah lithium‑ion battery with a capacity of 36.8kWh, capable of a range of up to 265km in the WLTP cycle.
The battery can be recharged to 80% in one hour using a Combined Charging System charging cable connected to a 40kW DC fast charger.
Using a 7.2kW AC wall box, the battery is charged to 80% in four hours and eight minutes, or 12 hours and 37 minutes using a 2.3kW home‑charging station.
Zero‑emission, nimble and spacious despite compact dimensions, the Citigoe iV is a perfect vehicle for modern cities. Despite being just 3,597mm long and 1,645mm wide, the smallest Skoda also offers a spacious interior for four passengers and a boot capacity of 250 litres.
Skoda offers the Citigoe iV exclusively as a five‑door in the Ambition and Style trim levels. The first all-electric Skoda looks noticeably different to the Citigo models with combustion engines, especially at the front. The Skoda‑typical radiator grille is body-coloured, and the front bumper below it has also been redesigned.
The interior of the Skoda Citigo has also been revised for the iV version. The black instrument panel and the area above it have been redesigned.
Standard equipment includes electric front windows, Climatronic, remote central locking, the Swing II radio and the Move&Fun smartphone docking station on the dashboard. On top of that, the Citigoe iV comes with new mobile online services for the app, allowing the battery or air-conditioning to be accessed remotely.
In addition, the Citigoe iV comes equipped with Lane Assist as standard and features front airbags as well as head and thorax airbags for the front seats. Series production of the environmentally-friendly city speedster will begin in the second half of 2019.
