In the first round of COE bidding for May, COE prices rose for Cat E while premiums for Cat A and Cat B fell.
The annouced contraction in COE supply for the quarter starting this month coupled with the high COE premiums last session may have dissuaded some from making their purchases this bidding session. This could also explain the drop in bids received this round compared to the last.
