Acura is launching its first-ever anime series. Titled Chiaki's Journey, the series showcases the firm's new lineup of Type S performance vehicles.
The animated series follows Chiaki, a young driving protege, on her quest to overcome multiple challenges on her path toward victory. When emotions heat up at the local racetrack between Chiaki and her nemesis Erich Kang, Noboru, Chiaki's wise uncle steps in and advises her as she prepares to put her family legacy on the line in the biggest race of her life. Both characters, Acura states, represent the heritage and challenger spirit of the brand and its unrelenting passion for performance.
The anime series also stars the trio of all new Acura Type S performance models: The MDX Type S three-row premium SUV, the TLX Type S sport sedan, and the NSX Type S supercar, the brand's most powerful and best performing NSX ever.
The new Acura anime series will debut during the 2022 Sundance Film Festival as the firm returns for a 12th consecutive year as a Presenting Sponsor and Official Vehicle. However, you can catch them all on Acura's YouTube channel here.
