New for this generation of the classic front-engine, rear-drive sports coupe is the use of a 2.4-litre four-cylinder boxer engine, tuned in this vehicle to produce 230bhp and 250Nm of torque. As mentioned, the car will be available here with a six-speed manual, although a six-speed paddle-shift automatic will also be offered.
Completely redesigned cabin sports a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster alongside an 8.0-inch infotainemnt screen And to pair with that performance is a new bespoke chassis, said to have gained from elements used in the Subaru Global Platform to increase its overall rigidity. At the rear, a Torsen limited-slip differential will ensure high levels of grip when powering through corners.
In the cabin, expect Singapore-bound models to feature a completely redesigned cockpit, complete with leather/Ultrasuede combination seats, as well as a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster with a central tachometer. This cluster will pair with an 8.0-inch infotainment screen, complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Expect the Subaru BRZ to retail here from $120,888 (exclusive of COE) for the model equipped with the manual gearbox. This price is also inclusive of a $2,500 finance rebate and an in-house insurance rebate of $300. The automatic gearbox-equipped model will come with a $10,000 premium.
