Kia has announced that its 577bhp EV6 GT will be making its dynamic debut at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The all-electric high-performance crossover will be taking on the festival's famous hillclimb several times throughout the weekend, demonstrating its segment-defining performance in public for the very first time.
The Kia EV6 will be driven by Rally Pro and Marketing Director for Llandudno Kia Jade Paveley at the Goodwood hillclimb Kia's most powerful production car to date, the EV6 is based on its advanced Electric-Global Modular Platform, and comes equipped with a dual-motor powertrain that delivers a total of 577bhp and 740Nm torque, making it perfect for Goodwood's famous hillclimb. Kia states that the EV6 GT can complete the zero to 100km/h sprint in just 3.5 seconds.
The car will be driven throughout the weekend by Rally Pro Jade Paveley. Jade was 2021 British Rally Cross Country Championship Class T2 Champion and 2018 Junior Welsh Tarmac Rally Champion. She is also the end-of-stage reporter for the World Rally Championship and European World Rally Championship, and Marketing Director for Llandudno Kia, a Kia dealership in North Wales, U.K.
Between drives, the Kia EV6 GT will be on display throughout the event in the 'First Glance' paddock. Kia will also be showcasing the new Niro EV at the 'Electric Avenue' section of the festival.
