Both cars now sport additional standard equipment, alongside the use of red or black decorative accents inside and out.

Volkswagen has updated the all-electric ID.4 GTX performance SUV and the all-electric ID.5 GTX performance coupe SUV.

Both cars now come with features formerly offered as parts of optional equipment packages including a climate comfort windscreen, darkened side and rear windows, heated front seats, as well as Volkswagen's Air Care Climatronic air-conditioning system and two-zone temperature control, as standard.

Both the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX now sport a black diffuser, C-pillars and wing mirrors
Beyond the specification change, the cars also get a host of design updates.

These aesthetic changes include the use of a black dash panel and door trim, alongside the addition of red decorative seams throughout the interior, done to visually emphasise the sporty character on the cars.

Opt for the optional premium sports seats, and you'll also get these decorated with red seams, piping and logo, as well as a felled seam all the way around.

And on the outside, the cars also now get their roof frame strip, C-pillar, exterior mirrors and diffuser all finished in glossy black.

Both cars now get a black dash panel and door trim, highlighted by red decorative stitching
Both the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX deliver a peak system power of 295bhp, alongside a peak torque output of 460Nm.

This output comes courtesy of a permanently excited synchronous motor on the rear axle, alongside an additional asynchronous motor on the front axle.

The ID.4 GTX offers a WLTP range of up to 500km, while the ID.5 GTX delivers a WLTP range of 512km. The maximum charging capacity of both models is 135kW.
