Mercedes-Benz has launched the EQB all-electric crossover here in Singapore.

The EQB is Mercedes-Benz's fourth EQ all-electric vehicle here in Singapore, following from the EQC, EQA, and more recently, the EQS. And it's also the first luxury, all-electric seven-seater available here in Singapore, since the Tesla Model Y is still only available here as a five-seater.

Up front, the EQB identifies itself firmly as part of the Mercedes EQ range with its blanked-out gloss black grille, alongside head lights that come with blue-coloured accents within. This is supported by a full-width light bar at the rear.

Gaze upon the Mercedes EQB from the flank meanwhile, and you're greeted by a strong vehicle shoulder alongside a rising beltline, which gives the car a strong and confident road presence.

Step into the cabin of the EQB meanwhile, and you'll find all the familiar Mercedes accents from the rest of the firm's compact vehicles. These include the use of turbine-inspired air-conditioning vents, along with the impressive twin 10.25-inch displays on the dashboard that serve as the infotainment screen and instrument cluster.

But aft of the first row is where things truly get interesting in the Mercedes-Benz EQB. Passengers seated in the second row of the car will be able to slide their seats fore or aft by a total of 140mm, allowing greater flexibility between knee room and luggage space.

Speaking of which, luggage space totals at 465-litres with the third-row folded, and 1,620-litres with the second-row seats knocked down as well.

And if you don't need to ferry so much cargo, the Mercedes-Benz EQB will also serve duty as a seven-seater, with two additional seats that Mercedes states, will seat individuals up to 1,650mm-tall comfortably.

The Mercedes-Benz EQB is being launched in Singapore with two drivetrain options.

The first utilises a 188bhp motor which drives only the front wheels. This model will put down a peak of 385Nm of torque, allowing the EQB to sprint to 100km/h from a standstill in just 8.9 seconds. This model will also come badged as an EQB250 and will be available in two trims: 'Progressive' and 'Electric Art'.

Opt for the 'Electric Art' trim and you'll get your interior finished with rose gold accents on the air-conditioning vents, alongside seats that are upholstered in a combination of Mercedes' Atico and fabric, and your car will also come with Mercedes' Advanced speaker system. Special 'Electric Art' 19-inch rims and a key fob finished in Rose Gold also comes with this trim.

But if you're seeking more power, Mercedes-Benz is also offering the EQB350.

This model comes with an electric motor at each axle, so all four wheels can put power to the road. Peak output from this drivetrain is 288bhp, alongside a peak torque of 520Nm.

This will see the EQB350 launching to 100km/h from a standstill in just 6.2 seconds. For comparison, the Mercedes-AMG GLB35 will do the same sprint in 5.2 seconds.

This EQB350 will come in the AMG-Line trim which adds the AMG bodystyling, full-leather seats, and AMG floor mats. The EQB350 will also come with 20-inch multi-spoke rims as standard.

Both the EQB250 and EQB350 come with a 66.5kWh battery that can charge at 11kW via an alternating current source, and 100kW via a direct current charger. The WLTP range for the EQB250 stands at 474km, while the range of the EQB350 is 423km.
