Volkswagen has announced the highly awaited Golf R 20th Anniversary Edition for the North American market. The special edition celebrates 20 years of high performance all-wheel-drive Golf cars which traces its roots back to the Golf R32 released in 2002.
The Golf R 20th Anniversary Edition utilises the same MQB chassis and 311bhp EA888 evo4 TSI engine. The engine is mated to a choice of either six-speed manual or the seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission.
