95-octane petrol in Singapore now retails at close to $2.82 following a slew of downward adjustments since 16 September 2022 across all retailers.

Petrol prices have continued to slip downwards amidst falling crude prices.

Pump prices have taken a slip across the weekend of 16 September 2022. A series of downward changes since 16 September saw per litre prices of petrol dropping by close to $0.06 a litre, while prices for diesel saw slips closer to $0.11 a litre.

All retailers currently charge $3.29 per litre for 98-octane petrol, although Shell charges $3.31 per litre for the same grade of fuel
According to Fuel Kaki, the last retailer to make the downward adjustments was Sinopec, which moved the per-litre price of its 95-octane petrol to $2.82 at 10:00am on 19 September 2022.

Retailers Caltex, Esso, and Shell also currently charge the same per-litre price for 95-octane petrol, although SPC is charging $2.81 per litre for its 95-octane petrol (all prices before credit card discounts).

Esso, Sinopec, and SPC meanwhile all charge $3.29 per litre for 98-octane petrol, while Shell charges $3.31 per litre.

These new price drops comes more than a month after prices saw their last significant slip following the National Day weekend. According to The Straits Times, this current drop in retail prices comes following a slide in oil and wholesale fuel prices on the back of global recession fears.
