Citroen has launched the facelifted C5 Aircross here in Singapore.
Top highlight for the SUV is the fact that it sports a new front end, now equipped with redesigned head lights, along with a distinctive grille, complete with a new 'piano key' detail.
The air intakes here below the front grille have been redesigned to give the car a modern and robust look.
Look from the flank and you'll notice the strong 'C' signature that completes the side windows has been retained from the previous C5 Aircross. This new Citroen C5 is also available here in five different colours: Polar White, Perla Nera Black, Platinum Grey, Artic Steel, and the new Eclipse Blue.
A pair of roof rails also sit atop this car, adding to its strong, adventure-ready look, even though they were missing on the predecessor model when equipped with the 1.2-litre engine here.
Speaking of which, this new Citroen C5 continues to utilise the firm's 1.2-litre unit. Power output stands at 128bhp, while peak torque from this engine is 230Nm. This output is sent through an eight-speed gearbox, and will see the Citroen C5 Aircross reaching 100km/h from a standstill in 10.3 seconds.
The family-friendly design ethos of the previous C5 has also been retained, so in this new car, customers can look forward to a comfortable drive thanks to the firm's Advanced Comfort Seats.
Designed for high comfort on the go, the three at the second row can also slide forward by up to 150mm, and are also all identical width, so there's no need to squabble over who has to take the middle one.
Further complementing these seats is the Citroen Advanced Comfort suspension system, which utilises progressive hydraulic cushions instead of the regular spring and shock absorber combination. Citroen states the technology will filter out and absorb various irregularities on the road surface to deliver greater ride comfort.
Back into the cabin, those seated at the front of the Citroen C5 Aircross get to play with an 8.0-inch infotainment system, complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the driver will get all necessary driving information via a customisable 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.
Citroen is offering the C5 Aircross with a 3+2 year or 200,000km warranty, whichever comes earlier. A $7,000 pre-motorshow promotion is currently offered for the C5 Aircross.
