Citroen has updated the C5 Aircross SUV with a bold new look and an updated infotainment system.
The refreshed car sports a new Citroen logo, at the centre of its upright grille. The new badging pairs with the car's V-shaped LED head lights to give the vehicle a robust stance. Stylish and functional air curtains positioned at either side of the front bumper also aid aerodynamics.
From the flank, a high and horizontal bonnet, as well as the chrome 'C' side signature reinforces the floating effect of the roof.
There's also new 18-inch diamond-cut 'Pulsar' alloy wheels, as well as gloss black door mirrors. These pair with gloss black roof bars with new matt black inserts and new colours for the firm's Airbump plastic cladding on the lower sections of the car's doors. And at the rear, the SUV's light signature has been updated with a new three-dimensional design.
In the cabin, the Citroen C5 Aircross gets a new 10-inch touchscreen in the modern passenger compartment. Ergonomics is said to have been improved thanks to new direct-access buttons to climate control functions, positioned higher on the dashboard.
The new infotainment display works with the fully customisable 12.3-inch digital driver's display, which offers all necessary driving information directly in the driver's eye-line.
The Citroen C5 Aircross continues to come equipped with the firm's Advanced Comfort seats already present in the C4 and the forthcoming C5 X. Composed of high-density foam in the core of the seat, they now come with an additional 15mm layer of foam for increased passenger and driver comfort.
The seats also now wear a new structured and contemporary fabric for the entry-level vehicles, while a new soft-touch Alcantara and a high-end perforated leather option is available for higher-trim cars.
The central console of the Citroen C5 Aircross has also been modernised, with a black leather-effect material and chrome touches that underline the new layout of the controls.
There is the new gear selector for models equipped with the EAT8 automatic gearbox, while the plug-in hybrid variant also gets a new driving mode selection button. The central console also integrates a large storage compartment housing connectivity solutions with two USB-ports. Higher-trim models will also get a wireless charger.
Passenger comfort can be expected to stay high thanks to the Progressive Hydraulic Cushions suspension, which allows for the absorption of bumps in the road, keeping all in absolute comfort. Acoustic laminated front windows further amplify the cocoon effect within the car.
