Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the facelifted CLA and CLA Shooting Brake.
The cars now get a new front apron, which pairs with a revised radiator grille star pattern. This grille gets flanked by new, LED High Performance head lights, which are now standard. At the rear, a new rear diffuser also adds to the sporty character of the Mercedes-Benz CLA and CLA Shooting Brake.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA gets a new diffuser design at the rear In the cabin, the cars get a Nappa leather steering wheel as standard, although a multifunction sports steering wheel upholstered in Artico man made leather is also offered. New trim elements will also be offered with this CLA, allowing customers to finish their car with a dark carbon look, open-pore brown lime wood, or brown Microcut microfibre (for AMG Line cars).
Mercedes states that the fabric cover of the comfort seats in the CLA and CLA Shooting brake are also now made from 100% recycled materials.
The MBUX infotainment system has also been revised, just as with the Mercedes-Benz A-Class. The system now offers customers the option to choose from up to seven 'colour worlds', will offer Apple CarPlay or Android Auto Wireless connectivity, and the cars now have an additional USB-C port and increased USB charging capacity. All USB ports for the CLA and CLA Shooting Brake are also now illuminated.
The CLA35 Coupe and CLA35 Shooting Brake also now get the AMG emblem ahead of the bonnet Mercedes-Benz will also roll out a 'Tourguide' feature for the MBUX system in Germany, which will allow it to read out interesting facts about places of interest along the route entered into the navigation. Customers can activate this feature by simply saying, "Hey Mercedes, start Tourguide".
The Mercedes-Benz CLA range starts with the CLA180, which offers a total of 134bhp alongside 230Nm of torque thanks to a 1.33-litre engine paired to a mild hybrid system. The century sprint is completed in 9.4 seconds with this model.
Customers looking for more power can also opt for the revised CLA35 4Matic, which will get an AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical slats, a reshaped front apron and a round badge with the AMG emblem. This model gets 302bhp alongside 400Nm of torque.
A special AMG Street Style Edition of the CLA45 S 4Matic Coupe and Shooting Brake is also being released, sporting a total of 416bhp. This special edition car will come with Mercedes Manufaktur mountain grey magno paintwork and will sport a special side foiling with the AMG logo and AMG pattern in the chequered-flag design.
