The two firms are now bidding farewell to the last of their petrol-only cars, with Bugatti's last hurrah taking the form of the one-off W16 Mistral, and Lamborghini now doing the same, albeit with two final one-off cars instead.
Both cars make use of the hexagon - a popular Lamborghini design motif - on their various design elements They are called the Invencible and Autentica, the first being a coupe and the latter a roadster, and both are said to have involved the customer from the very beginning, making them truly bespoke items.
Both cars were also, of course, styled by Lamborghini Centro Stile, and were designed to show just what was possible with the V12 and the carbon fibre monocoque from the Aventador, with maximum creativity exercised.
The cars are said to both feature the hexagon - a well-known motif of modern Lamborghini design - into their various visual elements. They both have air intakes on their bonnets that take after those on the Sesto Elemento, while at the rear, a central triple exhaust with Inconel tips features on both cars.
The interior of both cars are also devoid of any instruments on their console, to place focus on sheer driving enjoyment The exterior of the Invencible coupe is characterised by the contrast of red and carbon-look elements, enhanced further by brake calipers finished in Rosso Mars, which sit behind single-nut wheels equipped with carbon fibre fairings to ventilate the brake assembly.
Two prominent hexagonal tricolours also feature on the scissor doors of the Lamborghini Invencible: A tribute to the Italian flag that is echoed on the door linings as well as well as on the steering wheel.
The Autentica roadster, meanwhile, features bodywork in Grigio Titans with details in Matt Black and a Giallo Auge livery. This colour is repeated on the car's brake calipers, as well as the front splitter and rear wing. Two domes with integrated roll bars aft of the cabin here recalls the open-topped racers of the past.
The domes and integrated roll bars of the Autentica roadster recall the open-toppeed racers of old Both cars have been granted a minimalist dashboard enhanced by hexagonal 3D-printed air vents and no instrumentation on the console, to put the focus on pure driving enjoyment.
On the Invencible coupe, this interior features Rosso Alala leather and Nero Cosmus Alcantara, accentuated by personalised embroidery in Rosso Alala and Nero Ade. The Autentica roadster, meanwhile, gets elegant embroidery in Giallo Taurus, with contrasting Nero Ade leather upholstery and two-tone Nero Cosmus and Grigio Octans Alcantara.
Both of these cars, of course, make use of a 6.5-litre V12 engine producing 768bhp and 720Nm of torque. Following this, a new hybrid super sports car from the firm is already set to make its debut in the coming weeks.
