The sweet smell of freshly blooming flowers in the air was punctuated with electric excitement once again on the evening of 3 February 2023, as Sgcarmart returned to the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay to honour the best of our local automotive industry.
The event saw more than 300 attending, representing the various leaders of the sector here, all to celebrate the winners of our Car of the Year, Premium Dealer and Star Merchant Awards.
A total of 98 cars across 32 categories competed this year for the coveted title of Sgcarmart's Car of the Year 2022 And what a thrilling night it was indeed. Guests at the event not only got to dine from a wide selection of food, with numerous stall set up across the hall, but were also treated to a stunning avant-garde dance performance.
All attendees even got to join in on a lucky draw which saw those picked winning prizes that ranged from a Tefal garment steamer, to a pair of Bose earbuds, as well as an iPhone 14.
But of course, the highlight of the event was the presentation of the various awards to their winners.
To start, our 2022 Car of the Year award saw a total of 98 cars, stretching across a total of 32 categories all vying for the top spot. The winners here were chosen with points awarded by our very own editorial team, although, of course, a sizable 65% of the final score for the cars was awarded based on a popular vote by our very own readers!
Attendees of the event all stood to win various gadgets and home appliances at the lucky draw Notable winners here included the Audi RS3 Sedan, which blew us away with its rabid performance, while the Land Rover Range Rover impressed with its sleek styling and high luxury and comfort.
But of course, the Lexus NX took the top prize this year, after having convinced us with its sharp styling, competent drivetrain, as well as a well-designed cabin.

Those looking for a used car meanwhile, will want to look out for the winners of our 2023 Premium Dealer Award. The award recognises the leaders in Singapore's parallel import sector, and the recipients are chosen based on the length of time they have been in the industry, their popularity on our own listings, as well as the clean complaint records they have racked up over the years.
