Volkswagen of America, Inc. has introduced a new Atlas Peak Edition trimline at the New York International Auto Show.
Inspired by the Basecamp Concept shown in 2019, the Peak Edition model stands out from the rest of the Volkswagen Atlas range thanks to the addition of a gloss black X-shaped design element that stretches across the lower front fascia, a feature first seen on the Atlas Cross Sport.
The Volkswagen Atlas Peak Edition gets 18-inch black alloy wheels alongside black mirror caps and roof rails Looking from the side reveals that the Peak Edition model gets 18-inch black alloy wheels complete with all-terrain tyres, while rugged side sills in black and silver additionally reinforce the tough look.
The front quarter panel of the vehicle additionally gets a large gloss black badge, while the Peak Edition logo is finished in orange and chrome. These also match with the mirror caps, window surround, and roof rails, which are all finished in black.
The Volkswagen Atlas Peak Edition also has a black tailgate strip at the rear, alongside a rugged black and silver diffuser and chrome exhaust bezels.
In the cabin, the car gets Titan Black leatherette paired with light grey accents and orange contrast stitching. Dash and door inserts in a black metallic check pattern further set the look apart from the rest of the Atlas family.
