Genesis has unveiled the GV80 Coupe Concept at an exclusive event at Genesis House New York.
Inspired by the X Speedium Coupe Concept unveiled in New York in 2022, the GV80 Coupe Concept is said to combine the practicality of a lifestyle-oriented SUV with the dynamism of a sports car.
Four bucket seats, complete with orange piping, will offer driver and passengers the necessary support as the car tackles corners The car gets a bright Magma exterior colour said to be inspired by the self-confident and passionate attitude of Korea.
Up front, the GV80 Coupe Concept features the Double G-Matrix Patterned Crest Grille surrounded by quad lights seen in the firm's recent concept cars, while four slots within the front bumper will offer the necessary cooling.
Seen from the side, the concept gets a long hood and muscular blisters and fenders. It is also from here that the car reveals its five-spoke forged aluminium wheels. A carbon fibre roof, meanwhile, hints and its dynamic driving qualities and low centre of gravity.
The car also gets an upper rear spoiler and spoiler lip atop its ducktail, all intended to generate increased downforce at speed. A seamless pair of rear lamps complete the Two Lines signature at the rear.
In the cabin of the concept, a three-spoke steering wheel features, highlighting the sportiness of the vehicle and contrasting against the black Nappa and suede leather used for the four bucket seats, which come complete with orange piping on the functional surfaces. The concept also makes use of what is described as a G-Matrix strut brace for increased body structural stiffness.
