Looks like tree planting is catching on in the U.S.A.
As BMW plants trees for every test drive of its electric cars in the U.S.A, Hyundai Motor America has now announced it will expanding its strategic partnership with global reforestation non-profit organisation One Tree Planted. The collaboration will see Hyundai and One Tree Planted planting 200,000 additional trees across North America. This expansion of their collaboration will see a total of 350,000 trees planted over the multi-year partnership.
Hyundai has additionally donated two examples of the Ioniq 6 to the One Tree Planted fleet, which currently already includes two examples of the Ioniq 5. The new vehicles will be used at tree planting events throughout the U.S.A.
The expanded partnership also compliments Hyundai's 'Ioniq Forest' project, a global social and ecological effort that focuses on reforestation, afforestation, and biodiversity.
