Based on the A110 R, the A110 Pikes Peak racer gets a massive rear wing alongside an air inlet on its roof that will force air into its engine.

Alpine has fully revealed the design of its A110 Pikes Peak racer, after first announcing it would take on the hillclimb in March of 2023.

Designed to take on the 19.9km race to the clouds, the Alpine A110 Pikes Peak has been designed as a collaborative effort by the Alpine design office teams and those of French auto racing team and racing car constructor Signatech. It is set to take on the 'Time Attack 1' category of the historic hillclimb.

Massive rear wing and roof mounted air inlet to feed the engine are amongst the aerodynamic upgrades given to the Alpine A110 Pikes Peak
The Alpine A110 Pikes Peak is based on a A110 R, but gets redesigned side skirts and diffuser. The lights of the car have also been replaced with thin laser-cut bars, and the rear lights now make use of three vertical segments, a nod to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

An inlet has also been added onto the roof of the racecar to force air into the engine, allowing it to generate in excess of 500bhp. Alpine states that its weight saving measures also mean the hillclimb racer also comes in at only 950kg.

Of course, the car also gets a large shark fin aerodynamic element that cuts across its length, while a massive rear wing will give it the necessary downforce to take on the hillclimb.

Alpine previously announced that the car will be driven at the event by Raphael Astier. Winner of the 2022 FIA R-GT Cup with the Alpine A110 Rally, the Frenchman has four previous Pikes Peak starts to his name.
