The trident clad brand aims to achieve targeted sales of over 50,000 units a year by 2015 and has kicked off its ambitious plans through the new Quattroporte flagship. According to a leaked product document, it seems we could get at least five more Maserati models in the coming years.
Besides a brand new GrandTurismo, and its derivative GranCabrio and Gran Sport, two more models - a luxury SUV and an E-segment mid-sized luxury sedan is also in the works. The e-segment sedan has often been caught testing with full camouflage and is expected to be dubbed the Ghibli. It will be essentially a smaller Quattroporte targeting the E-Class or 5 Series range of vehicles.
Another new vehicle will be the Luxury SUV - currently christened Levante - which is the production version to the Kubang SUV Concept. According to the leaked document, the Ghibli will be priced from around €50,000 (S$80,528) in Europe while the Levante will cost between €60,000 (S$96,619) and €120,000 (S$193,239) at current exchange rates and excluding local taxes.
The Gran Sport nameplate may see a revival and is believed to be the often rumoured Porsche 911 equalling supercar.
