26 Feb 2014|1,973 views
Commuters travelling on south-bound trains on the North-South Line were affected by service delays of up to 20 minutes. This latest incident came just one day after a track circuit failure on the same line caused a 50-minute delay during the morning rush hours.
SMRT posted a tweet on Tuesday at 10:23pm saying that the problem has been fixed and that train service between Ang Mo Kio and Marina Bay was back to normal.
There have been a spate of train service disruptions since the start of 2014, with four incidents on the North-South and East-West lines that caused delays of more than 30 minutes. The number of train delays since the new year is already half of the total for the whole of last year.
