What is Techron Concentrate Plus?

Caltex Techron is available in Caltex Fuels and is now offered in a concentrated bottle form for periodic deep cleaning.
TCP is an effective and easy-to-use solution. With its user-friendly package design, motorists are able to conveniently add a 355ml bottle of TCP into their vehicle's empty tank before their next petrol fill up.
Why the need for it?
TCP is designed to aid the removal of harmful deposits from fuel injectors, carburettors, inlet valves and combustion chambers that build up over time in a wide range of petrol engines, including port fuel injection (PFI), direct fuel injection (DISI), hybrids and flex-fuel engines.
One tank of petrol treated with TCP offers improved fuel economy by aiding the removal of harmful fuel injector and intake valve deposits. It will also help restore engine power, improve acceleration and performance. Deposit-related knock and ping will be reduced as well. TCP also offers protection against bearing corrosion and helps to improve exhaust emissions.
For best results, add a bottle of TCP for every 5,000km travelled.

Adding the TCP can also be done at scheduled oil change intervals but bear in mind not to exceed twice per oil change. Repeat this process every 5,000km for best results.
For larger petrol tanks, a second treatment may be required to gain additional benefits.
The results
We put the TCP to the test. After filling up our test car - a five-year old, 1.6-litre car with one bottle of TCP followed by a full tank of fuel - its behaviour was monitored for the next couple of days.
Our initial scepticism was thoroughly proven wrong when the readings returned showing significant gains! Compared to before, there were significant improvements in terms of power and responsiveness. The car felt smoother upon acceleration - lighter on its feet and was actually a lot livelier to drive.
There was also an improvement in the efficiency department. As opposed to the standard approximate 10km/L consumption that we usually get from the car, it managed to achieve roughly 11km/L after just one bottle of TCP treatment - which may not sound like a big deal but is still an estimated 10 percent improvement.
Where to get it?
Since the Chinese New Year is around the corner, why not allow your car to benefit from a detox? Techron Concentrate Plus (TCP) is sold at all 27 Caltex petrol stations and retails at $21.80.
