The company was founded more than 20 years ago, as a humble business focused on buying and selling or used cars. In a bid to better serve customers, Carway started its own in-house workshop about eight years ago. Because of his background as a mechanic, the boss of Carway was willing to open his own workshop.

Thanks to a familiarity with the equipment and tools, along with the processes involved, he believed that having an in-house workshop would facilitate the company to be able to better serve its customers.

Carway recently opened a paintshop as well, bringing more of its services under one roof so as to have improved synergy and be able to provide a complete range of services. At the moment, there are seven mechanics on staff, as well as seven staff in the paintshop.

Full service

When it comes to used cars, Carway fully refurbishes the car before putting it up for sale. This includes paint, bodywork and repairs where necessary after undergoing a 120 points safety vehicle inspection. As a result, the cars won't be the cheapest available option, considering the incurred costs, but Carway wants to give customers the best product possible, and satisfy what customers want.

The main concerns with used cars are always the major mechanical parts, especially the gearbox and engine, as well as the bodywork. When it comes to the gearbox and engine, faults are more difficult to detect.

Additionally, any kind of serious problem would results in a huge repair bill, so a thorough check is always done to ensure that customers don't have to worry.

As far as bodywork is concerned, Carway makes sure to check the integrity of the bodywork, to make sure that it hasn't been compromised somehow. More common issues that used car buyers will face are things like faulty check lights and faulty sensors, and it's not uncommon for such problems to be covered up or disguised. This could lead to potentially bigger problems down the line.

Delivering satisfaction

At Carway, the company always believes in spending the additional time, effort and financial investment to rectify any faults with its cars, before putting them back on the market. The company also deals with all kinds of makes and models. In general, there are more Asian cars, but you'll see all sorts, everything from a Toyota Altis to a Ferrari F430, even.

For its customers' peace of mind, Carway also offers one year warranty from its workshop for all its cars. This is to prevent any situation where miscommunication arises, usually when customers buy from one dealer and have the insurance covered by a separate third party workshop. All these potential problems can be handled internally.

Carway's workshop is also open to normal servicing for the general public as well, and is equipped to do most jobs from a simple servicing to a full overhaul. The company also does leasing and rental of cars as well.
