Alpine A290 completes cold weather tests

You'd imagine a firm like Alpine would be familiar with the cold, but apparently the French mountain peaks are apparently not quite enough to test the firm's upcoming all-electric hot hatch.
Alpine has announced that its A290 has now seen a total of two years spent on its development and fine-tuning programme, and has just returned from Sweden after having been sent north of the Arctic circle for the first time.
Alpine has confirmed the exterior dimensions of the new A290, and unveiled that the car will come with a sport steering wheel upholstered in Nappa leather
The recent cold weather tests were conducted to fine-tune the car's low grip characteristics in weather that can drop below -30 degrees Celsius. Alpine states that this testing was conducted on both the track and open roads, to ensure the necessary performance across a variety of surfaces and conditions. The firm further states that the car's responsiveness, driving precision, and agility were also fine-tuned to ensure that it continues to deliver, even in extreme conditions.
The outing saw the Alpine A290 being tested in Alpine's original camouflage, comprising of an 'A-Arrow' logo on its roof and the Alpine Blue colour scheme. Alpine has further confirmed that the car will sport a total length of 3,990mm, a total width of 1,820mm, and reach a total height of 1,520mm - dimensions that mean it will be just slightly longer, wider and taller than the outgoing MINI 3-Door.
Alpine states that the A290 is set to make its full unveil in June 2024.
