Following the reveal of the hydrogen-powered Alpenglow Hy4 in May 2024, Alpine has now announced that it will be furthering its expertise in alternative technologies with a new engineering centre.

Called Hypertech Alpine, the new centre will combine begin operations by late 2024 and is set to house both Alpine's and the Renault Group's future projects while maintaining its motorsport foothold with projects including the support of the development of a future Alpine supercar, the hosting of research and development of solid-state battery technology as well as new electric motor technologies.

The site is additionally set to support the continuation of motor racing programmes such as the WEC endurance race or the Dakar Rally, and the implementation of a Formula One monitoring unit to master technical developments in this field.

The new centre comes as part of Alpine's goal to expand its range of vehicles with seven models by 2030.
