Wolfgang Durheimer, Member of the Board for Technical Development of Audi AG, and Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich, Head of Audi Motorsport, presented this year's DTM race car - the Audi RS 5 DTM - at the Geneva International Motor Show.

Eight Audi factory drivers allocated for the teams are fixed including newcomer Jamie Green from Great Britain. He will partner two-time DTM Champion, Mattias Ekstrom, from Sweden at Abt Sportsline. 30-year old Jamie Green is regarded as one of the fastest and best DTM drivers of the modern era.
This year's DTM season starts on the 5th of May at the Hockenheimring Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany with ten races in the calendar. Six races are in Germany while the others come from tracks at Austria, Great Britain and the Netherlands on top of the debut event in Russia.
"Motorsport is an integral part of the Audi DNA and is not an end in itself for our company. At the end of the day, our customers benefit from the victories on the racetracks, because we attach great value to technology transfer between motorsport and production," said Wolfgang Durheimer at the car's presentation.

With identical technical specifications to last year's racer and limited time for development, the Audi Sport DTM team was hard at work over winter to see if any of the 4,000 components in the race car offered any probability for optimisation.
