Maserati has launched a new video featuring the recently launched GranCabrio Trofeo.

Titled The all-new Maserati GranCabrio. Our Ode to Joy., the video is the product of Milanese Director Marco Gentile (winner of the 2010 Silver Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity), and the work of production house Movie Magic.

The video makes use of a quickening beat and a melody that should be familiar to many - Friedrich Schiller's Ode to Joy. Maserati states piece has been selected for the tune of this new video as it keeps pace with the engaging driving experience of the GranCabrio. The tune is played alongside images in the video which are designed to convey excitement, fun, desire for beauty, as well as to make the heart rejoice and enjoy every moment to the fullest.

The Maserati GranCabrio is further depicted in the video set against the breathtaking panoramas of Apulia, Italy, which is said to embody the distinctive Italian spirit with its unspoilt views and corners of discreet and exclusive luxury.

The Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo comes equipped with the firm's Nettuno 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine which delivers a total of 523bhp. See and hear the car in action via the video embedded here.
