Philippe Krief appointed as CEO of Alpine

On the cusp of revealing its new A290 all-electric hot hatch (read about the A290_(beta) here), as well as with a new GT X-Over crossover in the works, Alpine has announced that it is getting a new CEO, Philippe Krief.
Krief will succeed Laurent Rossi, who was appointed CEO of Alpine in January 2021 and will now focus on special projects linked to the transformation of the Renault Group. Krief, in his new post, will report to Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group.
Krief was worked for firms including Michelin and the Fiat Group, following which he continued his career with Ferrari and Maserati, before taking on the role of Vehicle Department Director and Technical Director at Alfa Romeo. Krief then returned to Ferrari as Director of Engineering in 2016, before being appointed VP of Engineering and Product Performance for the Alpine brand on 21 February 2023.
