Tesla's latest Experience Centre at Bedok Mall gives the brand a stronger presence in the east while bringing EV retail closer to everyday shoppers.

Tesla has opened a new Experience Centre at Bedok Mall, giving the brand its fourth retail location in Singapore and a stronger presence in the eastern part of the island.

Located on the ground floor of the mall, the new outlet joins Tesla's existing Experience Centres at Millenia Walk, Toa Payoh and Westgate. The facility will serve as a customer touchpoint for residents in the east, offering vehicle showcases, consultations and demo drive bookings.

Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Health, attended the official opening of Tesla's new Experience Centre at Bedok Mall

The opening was attended by Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Health, and featured displays of the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. Visitors were also able to view Tesla merchandise and an Optimus humanoid robot, one of the company's most closely watched artificial intelligence projects.

Perhaps more interesting than the showroom itself is where it is located.

Tesla's new Experience Centre at Bedok Mall becomes the company's fourth retail location in Singapore

For years, buying a car typically meant making a trip to an automotive district such as Leng Kee or Ubi. Increasingly, however, manufacturers are bringing their retail presence closer to where people already live, shop and spend their weekends. Situated within one of Singapore's busiest heartland malls, Tesla's latest Experience Centre places its products directly in front of shoppers who may not have otherwise planned a showroom visit.

During the opening presentation, Tesla spoke extensively about its ambitions beyond vehicle manufacturing, describing its evolution into what it calls a "physical AI company". The company highlighted how it develops its own hardware and chips, collects real-world driving data, trains AI models, and deploys software updates across its connected fleet of vehicles.

The centre features displays of the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y for shoppers and prospective buyers

The event also offered a glimpse of Tesla's wider product plans. Alongside updates on its AI ecosystem and connectivity features, the company highlighted the upcoming Cybercab, the next-generation Roadster, and the recently announced Model Y L, a stretched six-seat version of its popular electric SUV.

According to Tesla, its Singapore network now comprises four Experience Centres, 18 Supercharger sites and one Service Centre.
