Volvo joins Tesla Supercharging network in Europe

More Volvo owners will soon be able to charge their car at Tesla Superchargers.

The firm has announced that owners of its cars will soon be able to use the Volvo charging app to charge their all-electric Volvo at more than 20,000 Tesla Supercharger stations across Europe - in countries including Germany, France, Norway, the U.K., Sweden, Italy and Spain.

Volvo adds that it is also planning to transition selected models over to the North American Charging System, with markets in the Asia-Pacific region identified already including Japan and South Korea, giving Volvo owners in these regions access to the Tesla Supercharger network in the near future.

Owners of all-electric Volvo cars currently can use the Volvo Cars app to access 120,000 charging points in North America, including Tesla Superchargers, as well as more than 1.2 million charging points across Europe.
