Volkswagen has reached a new efficiency milestone on a circuit in Nardo, Southern Italy, with an ID.7 Pro S sporting a standard technology package and 210kW (282bhp) of power covering a distance of 941km on a single battery charge (86kWh capacity). This significantly exceeds the model's maximum WLTP range of up to 709km, with an average consumption of 10.9km/kWh.
The test drive was completed in December 2024 by Volkswagen Driving Experience pro drivers - at an average speed of 29km/h - on the Low Speed Ring in Nardo, with the 12.5km circuit enabling a wide range of traffic scenarios and endurance tests to be simulated effectively.
The foundations for the efficiency of the ID.7 Pro S are its strong aerodynamics and a state-of-the-art drive system. The electric drive motor, integrated into the rear axle, offers a maximum torque of 545Nm, enabling the ID.7 Pro S to complete the century sprint in 6.6 seconds. Thanks to a DC charging capacity of up to 200kW, it can take on energy for a further 244km in just 10 minutes, with full DC charging capacity allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in about 26 minutes.
