Skoda has pulled the covers off its all-new, all-electric Epiq, extending the brand's electric model range into the entry-level segment.
The Epiq is the first Skoda model built on Volkswagen's new MEB+ platform and its first all-electric model with front-wheel drive. In the U.K., the range will consist of two value-packed trim levels: SE L and Edition.
An exclusive First Edition will also be offered from launch featuring a packed specification list that includes a number of unique design elements.
Exterior-wise, the Epiq is defined by clean lines and intricate details. In addition to the glossy black Tech-Deck Face, the Epiq is characterised by a new T-shaped light signature, a feature that will define the look of future Skoda SUV models, and robust bumper design with O-shaped air inlets - a key Epiq design feature.
The Epiq will be offered with six paint colour options, five of which are new and include the free-of-charge solid paint colour Marble Grey (solid) and exclusive metallic paint colour Jasper Red. The other solid colour available from launch is Timano Green while metalli options consist of Platinum White, Pebble Silver and Mystery Black.
18-inch alloy wheels are fitted as standard, moving up to 20-inch wheels with the First Edition trim. More optional wheels are also available between 18- to 19-inches across the range.
Inside, customers can personalise their Epiq with a choice of three new interior Design Selections. The clear, intuitive interior layout follows Skoda's Modern Solid design philosophy and is complimented by a 475-litre boot, numerous additional storage solutions, and a 25-litre frunk.
Connectivity is centred around a new infotainment system and a 13-inch centre display. The system offers extensive personalisation options, online services, and access to a dedicated app store. The MySkoda app also enables remote access to vehicle information, charging management, and selected comfort functions.
The all-new Epiq comes with two battery options and two power outputs, all combined with front-wheel drive. The Epiq 40 has a power output of 99kW and comes with a 37kWh battery offering a WLTP range of around 306km. Meanwhile, the Epiq 55 offers an output of 155kW and has a 52kWh battery delivering a WLTP range of 438km.
In addition, both battery variants can be recharged from 10-80% in under 25 minutes.
