Volkswagen Scirocco (Parallel Imported)

Number 1 because it's my first car. Bought a facelift scirocco 1.4 few months back, however i had to wait almost 2 to 3 months thus the hyped died down, initally had dreams of it in the first two weeks too.

now back to the topic, got it at a good price after monitoring the price of the car for few months, and BAM!, one morning i woke up and decided to test drive it and bought it immediately. Took the bus to VCS as the trains broke down.

Bought Scirocco 1.4 TSI at March! drove for 4 days . go into workshop for 10 days. guaranteed me that problems will 100% solved when passed out.

LESS THAN 2 MTHS, I send in my vehicle again for servicing and to repair some problems (remember I said earlier? ; solved? joke) and they told me downtime of 10 days! why is that so?

- RECALL CAMPAIGN GOING ON

- THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM DOWN? SERIOUSLY?!

I believe that I do not owe them and I believe they should compensate me. Why?

I made an appointment for the repair and servicing. Downtime of 10days! Will the battery turn flat? I do not know. Will the problems be solved? I doubt so.

Guess what? i Owed the vehicle for 2 mths plus only and I am gonna "UPGRADE" to a honda civic now! it's more reliable seriously!! regret getting scirocco!

Guys, think twice before commiting to a volkswagen.

What's more their service attitude damn bad! slow and don't consider customer's needs. Treating customers as though they are nothing.

I've now owned the Scirocco 1.4ATSI for nearly six months. Purchased it brand new from the VW showroom in Alexandra as I was getting a good deal. Decided to go for the Candy White as I felt the car stand out with its sexy curves. To complement that, I've gone for the Truffle seats which is more unique. I really think the Scirocco is a stunning car in terms of design and the drive is absolutely full of pleasure. Everytime I walk towards the Scirocco or away from it when I've parked it, I always have a big smile on my face. I can just stand there and admire it all day. Also, when I am just chilling out, I always think about the Rocco. It's unbelievable the effect the Scirocco has on me. It has changed my life. Really. It's really a powerful car for it's engine size and the sporty feel is great with its amazing acceleration, bucket seats, steering wheel with flat bottom and rimless doors. It's ideal for a bachelor (like me) and as the title says, I can say I am truly passionate about this car!

Have been driving this car for the past 6 months, and I have been enjoying my drives. A 2+2 seater 2-door coupe that is able to fit in 4 medium sized guys easily. A boot that is able to fit in a wheelchair and many shopping bags that will surprise you. A very practical car I would say, if you compare with other 2 doors cars in the market now.

Let me let you in on the dirty secret. My 1.4 Scirocco is 2 cars in 1.

Put the DCC button in comfort and the DSG in Drive to access Car no 1.

It is a luxury car with soft leather seats and a cosseting ride quality to pamper its four passengers while wowing them with features filled to the brim such dual zone climate control,touch screen audio and voice control. Maneuvering this car and finding your way in the urban jungle of Sg is a breeze thanks to light steering, compact dimensions and excellent GPS but space is not compromised due to ample space for all and a 300 litre boot for those weekend getaways which are light on the pocket due to 13kpl + economy on the highways (10 kpl in the city)

Suddenly you see that open twisting road and realize you have no passengers. Time for Car no 2 then. Put the DCC button in sport and DSG in Sport. Double Whammy! You immediately feel the engine rev in approval, feeling like a different, much faster car while the chassis perceptibly stiffens around you and the steering weighs up to give you immense feedback. Suddenly you can do 100 in less than 8 seconds and go corner hunting with an aplomb previously reserved for Porsche Boxters and hot Beemers. The exhaust note eggs you on and the car follows your slightest bidding thanks to forgiving handling and lightning quick paddle shifts. When you finally arrive at your destination double quick, you exit with as much style as you arrived, thanks to styling that takes thoroughbreds from Maranello and Stuggart to outshine it.

On a more mundane note, reliability is excellent so far (fingers crossed)

Twin charge with 240Nm on tap complete with the looks and creature comforts. And reasonable price. What else are you asking for?? the fun factor is 100/100. The best car I've ever owned. In my context at least.

What can I say? 160bhp for a 1.4L engine!

Got an avg of 10.x KM/L for mileage.

Car is zippy.

Twin charged engine makes acceleration very smooth.

No feeling of lack of power when I go up the sheres bridge!

Car is very stable at high speed.

The factory headunit and speakers are not bad at all.

Driven a Fiat Bravo before but the Scirocco smokes it overall! Must be German, that's why! Sporty good looks with true sports performance, unlike some wannabes.

The Scirocco 1.4 is priced well, handles well, performs well and looks great. Great savings on road tax and the engine is fuel efficient. The interior looks great. Build quality is excellent. VW customer service was average. Got the car after 2 months of waiting time, which was okay.

A nice car BUT due to the poor customer service of Volkswagen Singapore i should never recommend anyone to buy from them!!

A very punchy, sports feeling car which you will like to get on pushing it. Excellent acceleration, best of all cars i had driven. My 4th car! Bought it straight away after test drive

The power of the car is really amazing just by the default engine itself. But the comfort of the car is not that impressive. Handling Is Great!

Superb chassis, very sporty like feeling with great engine (supercharged and turbocharged). Don't forget to hear that little BOV sound gushing out! To sum up, a brilliant car. High reliability and a car most guys will like it. Highly recommended.

Driving this babe on the road will always catch some attention (Only with specific colours). The handling of the car may not be the best but definately will be something you never going to believe it till you try it.

One of the best cars we've owned, it was love at first sight! Fast pickup, looks great, low road tax and low fuel consumption!
