Good and comfortable Ride

Review

When I first got this ride, I was sceptical that this car will have all the problems that was being publish on the web.

Gear box problems, transmission problems, suspension problems.Etc

Well I would say it does have some problems here and there but I am sure that its because of the terrain that Singapore is. Its all about start stop city driving.

Well if this car is on the highways. It works like a gem.

Pickup is great.

Good Power.... Yes 156 BHP

A car for all occasion

You have to be in the car to love it. The driver seat is really like a cockpit. It seperates you from everything else. Makes you feel in-control. Moonroof .... makes a lot of difference. Bootspace, wonderful!

It really doesn't look like a 1.6l. Though its big and heavy, the turbo engine helps to compensate the extra power. No problem at all when comes to overtaking in the NS highway.

The best thing is power if there when you need it. Travelling on spore roads I'm getting ard 12km/l which to me i reasonable. It can be sporty and presentable, depending on the occasion.

Drove for 6 weeks and.....

I had collected my black 3008 on 30 May 2012 and good thing was that the fuel indicator was 3/4 full. Was told that will need to come back when my car run in at 2000 km. My kids love the moon roof n the aircon behind. Powerful engine ( 156 hp) but i had only clocked ard 9.5 - 10.5km/L. A little high comsumption in petrol. Yesterday, just cleared my 1 out of 6 free servicing from Auto France. 5 free servicing to go till 60000km....:)

You own a car for a few years - not for a test drive

I bought this car for its looks and feel. Within six months the electronics failed. When it was towed to Peugeot center - they said it was due to faulty battery and replaced. The same repeated in another six months and once again a battery was replaced.

It was not due to battery. Electronics failed in next fifteen days.

Peugeot service center sucks. They didn't give a proper feedback. It takes hours to get someone to talk to. No one knows the problem or the reason. Everything they say is we are asking France. Car is with the service center for ten days now with no clear answer.

Autofrance guys have screwed my happiness of owning a good car in Singapore.

Test drive this 3008 and its was super comfortable and quiet. My family of five fiitted nicely n comfortably inside the car. Horse power of 156 was much more than my 1.8 civic ( 140 only)

They said that for your very first car, get a salon car that will give you no suprise. So, we brought a 08 Toyota Altis. it trully serve the purpose of being a family car, low running cost and indeed, no suprises for 3 years.

After a while, we began to asked, what's next ?? hence, we went shopping for a new car.

The Peugeot 3008 did not cross our path until D-day..we were going for VW's Sirocco never mind it is already in the market for 2 years. with a cool head, we told VW we will go back after we check out the Peugeot show room.

We came, we saw, and we were sold.

Cat A Crossover vehicle

Review

Crossovers are becoming more common.. The Nissan Qashqai, Mitsubishi ASX for example.

The 3008 is a French take on this.

It's very refined- quiet and smooth with good power from the very torquey 1.6 turbo. Cat A COE and 1.6 running costs make this car standout from other crossovers which typically have 2L engines... yet this engine is more powerful than those.

I didn't like the look of the car initially- esp in the very dark metallic brown of the showroom car. But in lighter colours is looks better. The front grill doesn't look like a mouthful of steel braces in the lighter colours! : )

The space in the cabin and boot make it a very practical car for a family and it'd be a great car for long drives. Though I prefer the zippier 308 Turbo, this is the car I have booked.

I would like to share the driving experience i have on the 3008.

I believe it stands up to the other crossover. Fun to drive, nice handling and of course not forgetting the panaromic roof that my family loves it.

A car that children and family will like sitting in.

As for exterior looks. Its either you like it or you hate it.

I said that because my dad finds that its ugly compared to my previous CL7 accord.

You will love this ride if you are someone who wants a bit more of power compared to the other cars on the road, of course not comparing the performance cars.

Want to have a easy drive, not to worry about uneven roads, kerbs, steep slops etc.
