Peugeot has offered a first look at the interior of the next 3008 which it states, will take the form of an electric fastback.
The pictures reveal that the new car (read our review of the current Peugeot 3008 here) will get what Peugeot is now calling the panoramic i-Cockpit. This comprises of a 21-inch high-definition curved panoramic screen that appears to float above the dashboard, as well as a new compact steering wheel.
The ambient lighting system of the next Peugeot 3008 will stretch across the width of the car's dashboard and flow into its door panels The new cockpit will also get new fully customisable touch-sensitive buttons (which Peugeot has labelled as 'i-Toggles') that can be programmed to provide rapid access to 10 of the user's favourite functions.
Peugeot states that the 21-inch screen has been positioned for optimum ergonomics, allowing it to curve slightly towards the driver, while still being accessible to the passenger. The car is also set to get increased storage space as well as a wireless smartphone charging port in its centre console, thanks to the moving of its gear selector to the dashboard next to the car's stop/start button.
Also enhanced with the new cockpit design in the interior ambient lighting, which extends across the entire width of the dashboard and door panels and is paired with an elegant genuine aluminium trim that will be offered in eight different colours.
