Felt I should leave some thoughts after owning the car for a week

The drive was surprisingly good.. better than my test drives

And got better as I got accustomed to the blind spots

Urban cruising and overtaking were a breeze which unexpected for me since the car looked heavy on paper and literally

Build quality was good compared to the C4GP which I also considered

My only grouse was the storage.. perhaps I need to get used to this aspect

Have been driving the 5008 for about 6 months now and it has been an excellent drive. There is no lack of power even with a full load of 7 adults. The 1.6 turbocharged engine coupled with the 6 speed transmission delivers a smooth and powerful drive with hardly noticeable gear shifts. The car handles well and gives a stable and firm feel on the road. It also provides a very comfortable drive and a 6 hour drive on the NS highway was a breeze, including a 3 hour crawl on the 2nd link. Impressive safety features.

I must say, the 1.6 turbocharged engine is powerful. In combination with the Tiptronic 6-speed auto, you can barely feel the gear shift. One of the smoothest ride. Even with full capacity of 7 adults, the drive is very seamless and comfortable. Drove long journey to KL few times and just love the drive. A very good MPV for the family.

Just bought one of this compact MPV with no regrets! I was comparing this model with Wish and Grand Picasso. There are too many 'Wishes' out there including Taxis! The interior of Grand Picasso looks less classy.... Thus, my final decision still goes to 5008. It comes with a powerful turbo charged engine, attention seeking exterior as compared to the already saturated 'Wishes' and a very classy continental interior compared to both Wish and Grand Picasso. It is a MPV worth buying if you intend to differentiate yourself from others.
