This increase may have been a result of the plethora of roadshows hosted by the brands, and as some brands have already started offering promotions ahead of the upcoming The Car Expo, which is taking place on the weekend of 9 to 10 May 2026. This may have encouraged customers to secure their purchases in the past week.
As compared to the previous COE bidding session, quotas for all private car categories have seen a slight increase. The number of bids submitted for Cat A have seen quite a big drop from the previous bidding session, while the number of bids submitted for Cat B have seen an increase.
