Hyundai Genesis

Decided to give this most interesting Korean luxury sedan a go after driving the ES250 which is a serious contender for the replacement of my aging Jag. I must say Asian manufacturers now dominate consumer electronics and are muscling into European territory for automobiles. The Genesis looks serious. The large grill reminds me of Aston Martin ( or Ford ! ) but it sites well with the face. It is a reasonably handsome car and Hyundai designers may have taken some cues from BMW. The interior is well built but not to Lexus or MB standard but well executed and had fairly good quality feel. The features are what that sets it apart. Soft close suction doors, ventilated seats, blind spot monitor, HUD display, smart cruise control. Very well loaded with options which only higher end models from MB and Lexus gives. The drive was smooth and powerful with a 3.8 v6. Handled well and felt rock steady and quiet on the AYE at above the speed limit. Braking had a strange feel but got use to it after a while. Amazing stance. Very stylish and if not for the engine cover which sports a slanted "H", one is unlikely to tell its a Kim Chi.
