Car broke down twice. 1 at about 60k, rotating belt broke, under warranty
But Peugeot claims to take few days to repair. And I managed to repair it quickly outside about 4 hours
2nd broke down cost me 4K after discount. I just finish my 100k mileage. Hence
Warranty expired. What make me most upset is the car already felt having issue before warranty expired but agent did not settle it for me completely. And once I pass my warranty before next scheduled servicing, vehicle broke down.
I completed 100k in 2 years time hence 5 years warranty seems useless. Hopefully if can increase to 3-5 years unlimited mileage warranty. This will gives owners much better confidence and agent can do better with their service.

My first time to own a Peugeot 5008 diesel car. Had clocked over 2000 km that include the NS highway drive to KL over the past 3 weeks. Average consumption is above 15 km/litre at this point.
Would rate the interior features and dashboard layout well above many of the MPV in the market. The middle row is spacious for 3 adults. The driver and front seat were comfortable on long ride too.The panoramic roof view is just awesome.
The interior noise level both stationary and driving were surprising quiet and low. The audio sound playing from my Spotify music over Bluetooth and radio station listening were of great sound quality too (good bass, treble and vocal).
Where I am concerned the exterior exudes confidence and serenity. There goes a saying Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The engine performance is superb for the given capacity @1.6 turbocharged . The low clattering sound from the running diesel at low gear is audible but once it hit higher speed, the engine run pretty smoothly. The handling and ride on the NS highway were comfortable and soothing. It was on full load ie family of 5, maid and luggages. The car feels firm and solid probably a trademark of most continental car I think.
Overall highly satisfied with the purchase so far. Waiting to see how it holds in reliability in the long run. Cheers.

The gearbox on this car is a joke. Enough said.
Fantastic looks, but a classic case of Design Beats Function. A car that costs more than 100k should feel good to drive, but the 5008 disappointed me on hat front.

I got a new 5008 1.6L Diesel end December, so here's some personal opinions. My previous car was a MB C180 (I am comparing some stuff to the previous car).

Read the review on gearbox. As a diesel engr, this is inherent and a fact that those who like to rev their engine and speed off in a rush(eg after traffic light turn green), will dislike this characteristic. Other than this, I find the car lovely, well designed. Power and torque are very good, drawing from a 1600cc engine turbo for such a size of MPV. Of course everyone wish for as a low a price as possible, it is a fair pricing based on today current market car prices.

Collected Peugeot end of Aug 15. So far love it especially savings in fuel and a safe and powerful ride. Compared to my previous Korean MPV car, it can run double the mileage/l and the per tank price is about 30% Of what I would paid for my previous ride.
Love the look and the features like large sunroof and the nice ride.
Felt very safe driving a continental car as compared with the Japanese car with only 2 airbags. Decided to go for Peugeot 5008 after comparing the specs and price and find that Peugeot 5008 is value for money and after savings in diesel, it will cost less than a Jap MPV in 10 yrs. Don't know about the maintenance cost yet but it will be under guarantee for a few years. So far enjoying it.

Test drove the 5008.. Only the HDi diesel available... All else is almost ok except the gear box. Major deal-breaker for me... Imagine having to live with this sluggish gear 1-3 transmission for the next 50-100k mileage. Driving experience shouldn't be compromised imho.
Panoramic roof is nice-to-have, but insurance goes up.
3rd row seats a little too flat.
Would only consider the 308(which is really nice btw) if die die were to get a Peugeot.:a-no:

After driving for 2 months, my FC average 16 km/l. Beautifully built car that exudes elegance. Definitely catches attention along the road.

My 5008 e-HDi give me excellent fuel consumption with average of 14 km/litre. If compare to my previous car, Toyota Wish, with similar style of driving, which only give me 9/10 km/litre. That mean of saving of my monthly fuel cost by about $250+.
Because of EGC Gearbox, the gear change for 1-2-3 is not as smooth as my old Wish, which is using 4-speed auto gearbox. However after get use to it and I start to love it, because i can control it like driving manual car. The power surge come at 3 gear on wards.
Service wise, because of 3 free Service, I still not sure about the regular services cost of my car. Nevertheless, the service staff at Auto France, especially Joseph are very helpful.
Within 1 year of ownership, I encounter Passenger Sit belt Error, which require to change the entire Sit belt System. It took me 4 trip to get it repaired. However, I am lucky because Auto France provide me a replacement car.
I love the ride of my Peugeot, I feel it is much more stable than my Toyota Wish especially driving at 90 to 120 km/l which i sometimes do not even realize that i am driving at that speed.
Noise level is average, Handling is good. Rainy Day handling is fantastic too.

Broke down in less than a year. Problem with Fuel Injection System.
Worse, service from AutoFrance sucks. They pushed the buck around, refusing to help.
