Best driver’s car
If you’Re looking for a luxury sedan that is fun to drive, this is it. When you sit in it immediately you feel that it’S very driver-focused. The cabin wraps around you like a cocoon and the steering wheel falls perfectly into grip. The driving position is spot-on. Having driven the BMW 3-series, I can say that the Jaguar has the better steering feel and makes every drive engaging. The 8-speed torque converter automatic is better than dual-clutches in some of the competition at day-to-day driving as it is not jerky. The downside is that it may shift slower but not by much. The ZF really is the best of both worlds. The complicated suspension setup in the Jag also means that you don’T sacrifice comfort for the engaging drive previously mentioned. It manages to have the best setup in its class, striking the perfect balance of sportiness and comfort. Having owned the pre-face-lifted XE, it has given me no problems and the engine and gearbox has earned its reputation in reliability despite the Jaguar name raising some doubts. I know beauty is subjective but you can hardly deny that the XE is a gorgeous looking car. The face-lifted model now comes packed with loads of tech and a much improved infotainment system that it can be a car you buy with your head, as well as your heart. The only downside is the rear passenger room. If you have a family of tall people then you might have to reconsider. For those who are looking at a Merc C-class, BMW 3-series or Audi A4, please, give this car a test drive. If you enjoy the thrill of driving at all, i’M sure you will appreciate the engineering gone into the dynamics of this Jag. Best. Drivers’. Car.... Read More
