Consumer Reviews
We have collected our car for 2 weeks clocking up around 1000km. The interior is very comfortable. My version comes with honda sensing, individual reading led lights. Active aircon control for 2nd/3rd row. The whole family enjoys the space and comfort.
I tried out third row today via the waku waku gate... It works just like the advertisement in you tube. Compared to my previous Toyota wish, the 3rd row is amazing in leg room.
There is all sort of modern features you can expect from any car. Cruise control, immobilizer, buttons on the steering wheel, big dash display right in front of the steering.
Best part is the beyond expectation kinda handling. The is no lack of power, exiting highway at 60km does not feel any roll at all, that amazes me how well Honda did for the suspension and CG.
This is an update after 6000km of driving. I like it more and more, especially after installing the honda original visor, door handle protector and the center console drawer.
Turnng off eco mode boost the fun with small impact to FC < 1km/l. Around 0.7 km/l.

Driving the Spada version of the Stepwgn. The width of this car is narrower than typical sedans, but due to the almost vertical sides and high roof, the volume of space within for this minivan is amazing. Looks wise to each his own, but the integrated rear spoiler and stance makes this the most sporty looking minivan together with the Voxy. Fog lights and LED lamps make this a real head turner, even more than the new Alphards and Vellfires on the road.
Drive wise, the engine feels lethargic if on Eco mode. Turn that off and the response is superior to a 2L NA engine. Pickup is eager and steering response quick though slightly light due to the electric assistance. The suspension is stiffer than comfort biased cars, allowing for great handling despite height.
Interior comfort for 6 adult passengers is very high. The 7th and 8th occupant will have adequate height and legspace but width requires some comprise in shoulder room. Compared to mid sized MPV's, Minivans offer a great balance between space amd handling.
Safety wise is extremely well specced with full all around airbags including curtain and side airbags.
Honda jam packed the following goodies into this boxy shaped MPV.
1. Six airbags! Yes six!. The PI Stepwgn comes surrounded with airbags. Not just the two airbags stated in so many websites. For the full equipment list, see below :

2. The main lights are all LEDs. They are bright and project very far ahead. There are also Active Cornering Lights that brighten the corner you are turning into.
3. The car is quiet during normal driving. See below for an excellent Japanese review with English subtitle

4. Lot’S of space for everyone. Even those in the 3rd row. It’S class leading interior space. Is on par with Toyota’S Alphard on all dimensions except on width. Use google Chrome to translate the following :

5. My car comes with Honda Sensing. Which is an optional item for Spada. So better to buy from PI with existing stock to ensure Honda Sensing is present. You can easily verify by starting up the engine. You should see ACC and LKAS display on the dash. Honda sensing contains the following :
Adaptive Cruise Control - Using radar to keep a fix distance from the car in front while cruising.
Lane Keeping Assist System - Keep the car in the middle of the lane automatically
Traffic Sign Recognition - Video camera display recognised road sign (eg. Speed limit) on the dash,
Lead Car Departure Recognition - Sound a reminder if the front car moved
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) - Sound warning and applies brake to prevent accident or reduce the impact.
6. Waku Waku rear gate opens both vertically and horizontally. This is really useful for accessing the back of the car to put your stuff, even when the car is parked close to the wall. This is not possible for the rest of tall MPV.
7. The VTEC Turbo 1.5 engine is really a gem. Small, powerful and yet fuel efficient. The huge car feels light when moving off and is quiet when you drive it gently. Wide range of torque curve starting from 1600 rpm to 5000 rpm make driving fun. When you rev it, the engine becomes noisy but propel the car from 0 to 100km/h in 9 seconds.
