Perodua -Axia -Budget car with good features
If you are looking for a budget car with common features, then the Axia will be sufficient. The car does come with touchscreen Sat-Nav system. Quite common for cars nowadays. There is even front corner sensors, which is good to have (although the car is not really that huge).
Exterior brings a more sporty feel, typical for a hatchback. Along with projector headlamps, LED taillights and fog lamps, it doesn't lose out to its peers.
Interior-wise, it is presentable for a budget car. Plastics still dominate. Plenty of cup holders (not sure why so many), you won't go thirsty. Legroom is surprisingly generous for a car of this size. Air-con is cold enough, even at lower settings. But there is a tendency for the windscreen to fog up fast when the interior is warmer.
Noise insulation is not the best, especially when at high rpm. And strangely when the rear passengers wind down their windows, the sound of wind actually hurts my ears.
Performance for a 1-litre engine is as per expectation, although it has some hesitation when downshifting to overtake. Can be a bit scary when the car does that. Overall, it is still acceptable for a 3 cylinder 1-litre engine.
Fuel consumption is still higher than on paper, needs more time to monitor.
Suspensions are stiff, hard, painful at times. This is probably the part I dislike most.
In conclusion, I would say it is worth the price tag I bought it at..... Read More
Perodua -Axia -Surprising offering from perodua
Was curious about this car so i went to try it out, and i came away quite surprised. I didnt have much expectations about the car, but i was quite impressed with the engine. Its very willing to rev, and because the car is quite light it actually feels rather quick. The engine, and the car in the general, is on the noisy side, but i think if you drive very economically its manageable.
the inside is also surprisingly spacious for a small car. There's enough room to comfortably fit 4, 5 even. Boot space isnt great, but that is expected. Admittedly its not the most advanced of cars, especially if you compare against other new cars, but i'm not sure comparing is the point.
i'm not sure if i have figured out what this car is, but i will say that its still on my mind.... Read More
