Are you sure the engine is only 1.33litre?

Been driving the A200 Progressive line for half a year. Absolutely loved it.

When you first step into the car, the interior just blows you away. (I bought the car for MBUX).

The MBUX ultra wide screen with 2x 10.25 inch infotainment and dashboard just makes the car look very premium.

I have been looking around at other new make and model but I have yet to find anything close to the MBUX.

Anybody who sat in my car, are wow-ed by the MBUX.

And don't get me started on the 1.33litre turbocharged engine.

It produces 163bhp and 250Nm at stock. Overtaking on the highway or minor roads is easy because the torque comes in very early in the RPM range.

Given that it is only 1.33litre, fuel consumption is good. I am averaging 13 to 14km/litre and this is with heavy footed driving, without auto start-stop and in comfort mode.

I managed to clock 20km/litre before in Singapore just by being easy on the throttle. I even took a photo of it to show my friends who didn't believe me.

I doubt I will be changing car anytime soon unless there is another make and model which can surpass it and at the same price point.

This is 1 of the BEST LOOKING car on the road currently .

Exterior : It is sporty with a soft touch - not too aggressive yet have that Zoom Fast Looks . Suitable for a Lady and a Gentleman .

Interior : Avant-Garde . The Panel is world leading likewise the airvents are in tune with all the aesthetics featured .

Soft Steering with a touch of glamorous class that is how I described it . Demure yet feels fast . Feels adequately involved without alot of external intrusion .

This is a Class that many car makers will have to match in terms of build quality and refinement . Enough said . Driveto believe the magic .

Impressive interior with huge dual 10.25 display. Nothing come close. Decent pickup and responsive handling. Steering might feel light for some though. Very high-tech car (lane assist, MBUX) which can be annoying at times. It comes with a lot of options which you don't get from the highest end model from C&C. There ae many external WS that is able to service and maintain this car. No point getting from the AD:)

MBUX can be a hit or miss

The new A class hatchback has the awe defining MBUX system which at times has the wow factor otherwise you just want to strangle it. It comes on whenever “Mercedes“ Is being mentioned, whether you intended for it or not. Simple commands such as increasing the fan speed, too hot or too cold, opening the roller sun blinds, telling you the weather and date is fine, but if you’Re looking for the advertised function of picking a song from your playlist according to your mood, you either have to try very hard or give up trying. Able to change to as much as 64 different internal colour schemes for the car is definitely eye popping - brings out the internal beng in all of us!

The premium plus version comes with the multi link suspension which enables the car to roll over bumps and humps without giving you or your passengers a jolt. The car’S lowered suspension can be a pain sometimes going down MSCPs, slopes or looking out for high kerbs. Steering feels a bit light and the car doesn’T corner as well as it should be given that it sits so low. Engine is definitely very loud, given that Mercedes included a bassy sounding engine note with the 1.3L car. Lane/brake assist can be useful or annoying - signaling is a must to change lanes at above 60km/h speeds, and the car can suddenly brake even if it detects a low flying bird. Sensors are also very sensitive, especially when you’Re the first car at a crowded pedestrian junction, the sensors will just keep beeping as people cross all around you.

Gear changes are smooth for upshifts but when downshifting the car tends to lag and this results in the car being stuck in the wrong gear for a lengthy period of time. This was sorted out in the recent transmission and ECU update. The car also needs a complete stop before you can engage reverse gear, sometimes you have to brake again in order to engage reverse gear. At high speeds the car is very smooth, doesn’T feel that it’S gasping for air, pickup is also very swift especially in the sports mode.

Overall a very good looking car that serves well for city drives and the occasional road trip (over long distances rear passengers may feel uncomfortable due to the lack of thigh support). If you’Re looking for a premium hatchback with the Mercedes badge, this would be it.

Practical fun car . Drove it around with many mixed feelings. People tend not to give way to you as if you were to drive a bigger Mercedes models. Handling is excellent for singapore drives . Small and enough horsepower to handle singaporean style driving .

I got a a200. In feb this year. Unfortunately the screen has just going blank 3 times in the last one and a half months. Cannot see the speedometer petrol gauge and it is dangerous to drive and impossible to drive. Cause of the problem is still not known. Feel this is a waste of my 150 k. Still not given a replacement car or even a answer to the problem. Think 10 times before getting it.
