Hyundai Kona Hybrid

Sad that this model is no longer offered. I have been driving mine since taking delivery in March 2022 and this is the only car I ever had that I can trust to be fuel efficient, no matter how heavy footed I pushed it. Been averaging 22.5km/L and re-fuelling around every 9 to 10 days with my daily commute Sengkang - Tuas. Used to drive 216d with >1,100km average per tank, but that is diesel powered, not the environment friendly type and a much bigger tank. This Kona had eased my "Range anxiety" When I first learnt of it's meagre 38L fuel tank. Overall I would say its one of the most value-for-money car I ever bought, since I got it before the COE went crazy and with the 7-years/140,000km FREE servicing package thrown in. Bought the car since 2021 July. Good - excellent FC (20 to 21 km/l) on Esso 98 - no issues with the reliability of the system - lots of safety kit compared to other cars of the same price point - the hybrid torque makes overtaking a breeze in sports mode. Cons - plasticky interior. Plus point means it is made to last, I'd suppose. - it's a compact SUV, back seats are cramped. Kia Niro, it's Korean cousin is more roomier. - how it looks can be divided.... Read More
