I've own the facelifted 308 for a month now and I really love the looks and power it delivers.
Changing of gear is so smooth that I have a bad habit of looking at the tacho each time it hits close to 2K and watching the needle drop as the gear changes.
Shut the doors and start the car, you'll realise there's pretty good noise insulation from the engine bay. And because it's relatively quiet, there were occasions where I unknowingly exceeded the speed limits on the expressways.
The DRL never fails to attract attention especially in carparks. However, that can be switched off if you do not like the stares.
There's a 3 second indicator function for left right signalling. Good for quick lane changes.
Overall, it's a very nice car and I'm a happy owner!

My first venture into Conti and Turbo car... Difficult but WTH... I guess u gotta start somewhere. Anyways, got a 2.5 year old sample with reasonable mileage. Was contemplating between this or the 06/07 A4 S-Line but decided to cap my budget. Saw 3 to 4 cars in the market and was surprised that 3 went off market within the same weekend. The ride was good; fell in love with most of the features and aesthetics that comes along. Stiff suspension, drinks reasonably, firm road holding, picturesque skyview during the evenings, and the list goes on... I'm letting it unravel by itself. Good ones only I hope.

I recently tested the new 308 Turbo with the Aisin 6 speed auto tranny. It's a really fun drive. The new auto box is very smooth and the response is much more immediate at low speeds than the Golf's DSG which hesitates before working right.
It's cheaper than the mid range Golf TSI 122hp and nearly as powerful at the Golf Sport (156 vs 160hp).
Refined and very chuckable. Rear seat leg room isn't as good as a Golf but should be adequate for most. The big glass roof is great! Rear seaters have their own a/c vents.

Own 308T for almost 2 years and I really enjoy driving it everyday.
No major problem for my car so far.

First and foremost, if you have this car in your list of consideration, don't think further. Get it!
I have owned the Turbo for about 7 months and I simply adore it for its head-turning looks, punchy engine, superb stability, comfort and space. This is such a wonderful car to drive up North. At 110km/h, the car just begs to be driven at a much higher speed because every slight probe of the accelerator pedal will send the car reeling to about 130km/h, thanks to its 240Nm of torque! And because it's a quiet car with superb stability, i ended up travelling at 150km/h most of the time and occasionally doing 180km/h, because that's where this lion just wants to be! And along the twisties of rural parts of Malaysia, this car just rockz!
There is no other car in its class that looks just as stunning. Of coz there are cars out there with better dynamics from the German camps, but if you want to travel in style and exclusivity, this is the route you wanna take!

Great car ever driven at such class but abit pricey....
Nice sturdy handling and stressfree in long highway rides. One of the best looking car on the road, simply a headturner.

Have owned the 1.6 Premium for a little over 1 week now and absolutely loving it.
Design wise, the car is simply beautiful both inside and outside. Drive wise, it has good handling, very stable, good pickup as well. FC wise, it's still too early to comment.

Test drove the car recently as was looking around to get a additional car for my wife. The handling of the car was really good. Even better than some of the other german makes that I tested. very stable car and good comfort. the gears were very smooth too. Seriously thinking of getting this car. anyone here has any comments on this car? hope to hear your views b4 i get the car
