I recently collected the IM5 Luxury and have been genuinely impressed by how refined and premium the car feels. Coming from a performance ICE car, I expected to miss the sound and drama, but the IM5 makes up for it with smoothness, quietness and a very planted driving feel.
The cabin feels modern and upmarket, with a strong sense of space and comfort. The ride is composed, the steering feels confident, and the car has a very calm executive feel on the road. Even though the Luxury variant is Cat A power-limited, the torque delivery is still more than sufficient for daily Singapore driving.
The technology is also a big highlight. Features like auto-parking and rear-wheel steering / crab-walk capability make the car feel genuinely special, not just another EV. It feels like a premium product that is ahead of many traditional brands in terms of innovation and value.
Overall, the IM5 Luxury is a very impressive EV sedan. It offers refinement, comfort, tech and presence at a price point that makes many legacy premium cars look hard to justify.
