Will just like to say is a good car consider for the outlook and interior. I just got my car, EX1.5 last friday, and previously I was driving the older version of GLX model. As compare, this car has a better respone when you hit the pedal. The interior space is one that will attract most given a Japanese car with a BMW space. Leg space is definitely much more than the older version and better than most of the japanese cars. 58k for such a car.
What I like
The interior, responsive of the engine, outlook(fierce and sporty look), good consumption-11 to 12KM per Litre
What I do not like
none. simply good for value

I have owned this vehicle since april 2008. I love the styling of this car. Its really beautiful.
The bad thing is that its a bit noisy inside. People complained about the engine noise but after around 60km/h the engine noise won't be there anymore unless u rev more than 2.5k RPM. But if you travel at 90km/h and above, another problem would occur, wind noise.
I experienced it myself and I am very unhappy with it. Asked the servicing people to fix it and they reseal the windows and there is still a significant noise.
They explained to me its a design problem because of the wing mirror. I told them it isn't that bad as the passenger side. They say its different from the driver side???!!!
I was wondering why are they selling a car that has design problems.
I understand that wind noise is common among all the cars but at 90km/h????
So i recommend this car if you like its styling, don't mind the noise, crappy excuses given to you when you tell them your problems
What I like
-Engine: Pulls away quickly
-Design: really beautiful

To be fair, i have given high marks for the the EX's pretty looks over her peers in the category. But I just cannot comprehend the extent of engine roaring sound the car produces when you step on the accelerator! It sounds and moves like a faster-then-average lawn mower. For those who go for looks and can highly tolerate the sound/speed ratio, this is a car for you then.
What I like
Exterior shark-like looks
Nice dashboard
Good features in its class
What I do not like
Everything else.
The auto transmission was very disappointing. | Posted on 03 Aug 2008 | ||

I have test driven the EX yesterday. The car that only came with the Auto transmission was very disappointing. I have the feeling that the car was too heavy. I stepped on the accelerator and the car was not responsive. All I could hear was the roaring of engine sound but there wasn't any pick up you would expect from such loud roaring of the engine.
I only tested the 1.5 auto but was too disappointed to further test drive the 2-litre version.
What I like
Exterior look was great!
What I do not like
The look does not match the engine performance!
You don't have a manual gear version choice to choose!

I have drove my new EX for past a month. The 2000cc version is powerful and fuel consumption is good. If you drive more on expressway,it even better than other big capacity car. The aero-dynamic spoiler is nice.
The car is very steady even you are at high speed - 120km/h onwards.
The only fall back is the engine noise when you pick up from 0- 60Km/h. After all, the engine sounds good.
What I like
The exterior styling
HID headlight
RED color interior lighting
What I do not like
Engine noise when pick up

I was actually thinking of getting a Civic 1.8/2 litre and thought I might as well give the EX a try.
Went to test drive both the 1.5 and 2 litre versions.
As I was about to test-drive the 1.5, I asked the salesperson if it was powerful enough to cope with the size of the car. He said NO. Nevertheless, I gave it a try. True enough, no power.Worst still, it was extremely noisy inside the cabin when accelerating.
I then asked if the 2.0 was better. The salesperson gave me a 2-thumbs up. To my horror, it was not much better! It was definitely a bit more powerful but the noise level inside the cabin when accelerating was still the same! It was almost unbearable!
After this experience, it just re-confirmed my choice for the Civic.
To those who plan to buy the EX, do consider going for a test-drive. The price might be attractive, but nothing beats driving something you like everyday.
What I like

What I do not like
Too noisy
Feels like no power

I wanted to buy the latest EVO but I know apart from patting myself on the back for that lil ego booster, I would greatly under-utilise its full potential on Singapore Roads with the amount I'm paying.
Lexus IS250 is one of my top favourites but road tax, annual depreciation, the out of control fuel cost in times of uncertainties these days...? Really its not worth it!
So I narrowed down to these 2 cars which are well below my 150k budget and would meet my frequent requirements to travel great distances on work assignments comfortably.
a)Honda Civic 2.0 Si
b)Mitsubishi EX GT 2.0
I particularly like Honda cars and have been using different varities of them for couple of years.
Like the exterior and interior look (cool speedomenter) and the performance of the new Civic. I've got almost no complaints. But here's what put me off. Honda after market cosmetic accessories which come at a hefty price for some or maybe not for others cosmetic junkies alike don't boil down too well with me.
To save all these hassle, I decide to go for EX 2.0. Just as comfortable, reliable with an excellent look and comes at a slighty cheaper price than Civic 2.0 Si with all the basic accessories onboard!!!
Too much of EXs scampering all over the streets, back lanes and highways these days as the saying goes?
I guessed you know why or if you still don't then get yourself a Maserati Qauttroporte instead. Believe me that would solved the problem!
Factually, both Honda and Mitsubishi are great cars be it 1.5/1.6 or 2.0 versions but I just seems to like what Misubishi has to offer within its 2.0 range compared to Honda from personal opinion. So check 'em out and decide for yourself.
Hope this helps and Good Luck!
What I like
1.Engine's Performance and Reliability - It's Mitsubishi folks.
2.Rockford Fosgate - Awesome sound system enough for you to have a lil party at the your neigbourhood's parking lot .Couldn't ask for more.Apart from EX GT 2.0, You will also have this system only on EVO SST Model$$$.
3.HID Headlamps- You can't get this on a basic LEXUS IS250 unless you go for its Luxury Model$$$. What the Crap? I think it's highway robbery.
4.Keyless Operation System - For the price you are paying for that gives you a lil taste of continental feeling. Hah! Boy is that a deal or no deal?
5. Fog Lights- I hate forking out some extras to buying these from Honda or Toyota. Really its a pain!!! Isn't these suppose to be basic?
6. Rear Spoiler- Love its cool low yet eye catching design that dont obstruct your rear view and not those Ah Bengs' version of Too Fast Too Furious or Singapore Drift's ultra high ugly looking spoilers or whatever you may call it.
7. 18"inch Sports Rims- It's pretty cool. Hey, a set of 18 doesn't come cheap these days unless you hit those dodgy looking workshops in JB.
8. Additional Airbags and some other stuff that are related to enhance personal safety - Didn't pay much attention to them though and hopefully I never need to use them at all.
What I do not like
1. Side mirrors do not come with signal lights
2.No space to mount internal GPS system on its dash board.
3. I'm not really a fan of its orange interior lightings especially on its speedo /odo meter etc. I think Civic interior blue lightings are much more soothing to the eyes though.
4. No double exhaust pipes like Evo. But if EX comes with it, who wants an Evo anyway?

Most buggers say the 1.5A has a poor pick up..
perhaps they havent drove the car yet. Cos it gives a brilliant pick-up. Excellent handling & sports exhaust sound for the 1.5A.
im sure that the 2.0 is 100% perfect. jus tat it wasnt within my budget.
overall the car's exterior & interior is exotic.
though the car is heavy and this is the only weak point it has. Other than this, PERFECTION. THATS THE WORD.

I just bought the EX 2.0 and I have met the best car salesman. His service is excellent name is Edmund Ong. He updated me with the car price fortnightly until at last I decided to buy the car. And I really enjoy driving it. For Japan-made car, its totally value-for-money.

Test-drove this car before. Looks-wise, it is indeed unique and eye-catching.
However, engine performance and handling is still not comparable t the Civic. I test drove the 1.8L version for both cars, and the Civic is clearly superior. The fact that the Lancer EX is a newer model, and that there are less of it on the road makes it the only reason why one would choose it over the Civic.
What I like
Styling is very futuristic and stunning. Engine is responsive and handling is reasonable.
What I do not like
Actually the Lancer is a very good car, and there's nothing much to complain about it. It just pales when compared to the Civic.

As for Lancer EX 2.0 GT, it gives you full satisfaction on all aspects. The performance and features are worth for the money. The look other road users stunned when you pass them.
