The Audi A1 and A1 Sportback are now even more attractive with benefits to both interior and exterior design.
Six engines - powered by both petrol and diesel - are new or have been further developed intensively. Fuel economy has been improved throughout the engine lineup by as much as ten percent, and power output ranges from 90bhp to 192bhp.
And for the first time, Audi is offering completely new three-cylinder engines with the 1.0-litre TFSI and the 1.4-litre TDI.
The Audi A1 1.0-litre TFSI with 95bhp of power has a combined fuel consumption of just 23.3km/L. Another new three-cylinder diesel in the A1, the 1.4-litre TDI ultra with 90bhp, attains a fuel consumption of 29.4km/L which makes it the first ultra model in the Audi A1 and Audi A1 Sportback.
The Audi S1 and S1 Sportback with 231bhp and quattro permanent all-wheel drive represent the sporty vanguard of the model series. The S1 completes the sprint from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.8 seconds (5.9 seconds in the S1 Sportback). Its sporty chassis tuning makes it even more agile and the power of the two compacts is visualised at first glance by modified spoilers - front and rear - and four tailpipes.
The seven-speed S-tronic is available for all engines, either optional or standard (with the 1.8-litre TFSI) and the dual-clutch transmission can be controlled either automatically or manually.
The interior is spacious and sophisticated with a neat layout for the controls and fine chrome trim strips for a more elegant presence. The A1 range can be customised by choosing either the design or sport line with additional options offered from the design selection and the S-Line sport package in addition to several other customisation options - from coloured air vents to decorative decals for the body. Brand new is the active kit, which highlights the urban character of the Audi A1 distinctively through customised add on parts and wheel designs.
