In a bid to improve convenience and compatibility, Pioneer audio owners will enjoy the thrill of accessing more of their favourite entertainment in a wider variety of media formats.
"In this generation of connectivity, it is of essence for head-units to be compatible with a variety of portable devices. Thus, we have incorporated many permutations of compatibility to suit various entertainment and telecommunications devices." said Toshiharu Momotari, Senior General Manager of Sales & Marketing, Pioneer Electronics Asiacentre Pte Ltd. "Pioneer in-car audio systems represent the vibrant, stylish personality of today's modern generation, and we have ensured that our new range has a variety of models to suit different styles and preferences."
Each new Pioneer head-unit has a built-in AUX-In input on its front panel, for you to connect your portable device with ease in an instant. The units also offer sound shaping at your command, i.e. you can adjust the sound according to in-car acoustic characteristics and the music you listen to. You can switch among five preset equalization curves (Super Bass/Powerful/Natural/Vocal/Flat), each featuring boosting bass and high-frequency ranges in ways that best suit the music, all by simply pushing a button. A one-mode custom preset equalizer can even memorise your favourite sound setting from a variety of sound-shaping dimensions/combinations.
Three of the four models also have a front USB terminal to directly connect a portable digital player, USB memory device of other USB-compatible gear, so you can play in your car whatever you have recorded via your computer. It is fast and easy, and requires no adapters.
A perfect example of high quality, seamless entertainment on the move is Pioneer's all-new DEH-4150SD. In addition to all the features mentioned above, this model has a built-in slot for an SD memory card of up to 16 gigabytes (GB) containing MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV music files. In other words, for average 4 megabyte-sized MP3 songs, the DEH-4150SD can store up to 3,840 songs or up to 256 hours of music.
The DEH-4150SD also allows for full control of your iPod Nano, iPod or iPhone (interface cable for iPod & iPhone required: CD-IU50). File-search and access are extra-quick, and song, artist, time and album information displays have been kept very clear and user-friendly. You no longer have to worry about being distracted from the road while you attempt to change the track that you are listening to.
Hot out of the oven and anticipated to be a best seller, this model is the first in the world to boast compatibility with all CD formats (MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV), and connectivity with USB, SD card, AUX input, iPod and iPhone. Users will be spoilt for choice at the numerous technological features incorporated to enhance their overall audio experience. The recommended retail price for Pioneer's in-car entertainment products are listed below and all the models will be available through Pioneer authorised dealers from mid December onwards.
